A postcard is a bond between place, sender, and recipient. In the space of a few inches, image and text combine to tell stories about people, relationships, environments, and experiences. We may be more likely to send postcards when far from home, but a postcard of home can open new, even strange ways of understanding our sense of place. This multi-part program examines the exhibition Strange & Familiar Places and invites you to create a series of photo postcards that address personal stories about place. Select images from each participant will be featured in a pop-up installation at the museum's Night/Shift event on May 15.
